Back to the first race, is something that they wanted to forget quickly. Zaqhwan and Tamada, both were not happy with their race because of the weather condition. They have facing the problem on deciding which tyre much suitable for that race. But Zaqhwan did do his best to get positive result for the Race 1 and finished at P19.
“Firstly, I really not happy with my QP result, weather factor was barrier (wet condition) to me I can’t made good timing on QP and need to start from 28thGrid. Before race time during move to grid, it’s difficult to decided to use wet or dry tire because forecast 80% wet but finally we decided to use dry tire same as top group. Early of the race I had low level confidant because many rider in front me using different tire and they possible to push from lap1. Finally I managed to improve the timing and finish the race at P19. Now I understand which point that I need to improve and focusing for Race 2 on tomorrow.” said Zaqhwan.
Meanwhile, Makoto Tamada also has same opinion that they are facing a difficult situation for QP and race on this track condition. Zaqhwan need more understanding on tire especially in wet condition. For Race 2, he needs to attack from start point of the race.
Race 1 saw Zaqhwan finished at P19. He later continue the Race 2 on following day which is he manage to finish at better position this time. Although starting at P27, lap by lap, this young rider improves his lap time and completed the race at P14.
“ From my side, today result not so bad but not good because my target on this weekend is top10, anyway this time my starting position was not good P27 , and very difficult to pass other riders because there have many high level riders in this category also. Now I learn many things from this race and will prepare more for Rd2 at Suzuka Circuit. Thanks all team members and all of our sponsors that trust in me.” said Zaqhwan
Makoto Tamada seems quite happy with the team performance in Race 2. All the support from the sponsor really helps the team to get better result this time. The team are looking forward for next round in Suzuka circuit with better improvement in bike set up and hope to get positive result there.
