Honda Came in Second at 2010 Petronas Asia Road Racing Championship Round 2 – Japan
Oita Japan, 22 May - Honda rider Norizman Ismail of Harian Metro SCK Honda Racing team finished second (14:26.994) in the Underbone 115cc category, which is a 9-lap race with a close gap of only 0.426 seconds to the leader at the Autopolis International Racing Course. The event was held in conjunction with Kyushu Motorcycle Festa 2010.
After the thrilling win in Batu Kawan on 9th May 2010, Honda took home the second position after the tough race among 19 riders from all over Asia in the underbone category. The race was indeed intense as there were many , in fact, experienced and well-seasoned factories supported teams and competitors trying very hard to prove their skills and the capabilities of their machines.
Honda has upheld its leading edge by taking second place despite the presence of more than 13 Yamaha riders in the race. Malaysia is immensely proud of Norizman Ismail as he is the only Malaysian to stand tall among the champions and podium finisher. The result is not only extremely impressive but it had also proven that the podium in Batu Kawan last race was not just a flash in the pan.
Once again Honda has stamped its superiority, reliability and powerful engine in the new Wave110 to conqueror the race track. With Honda, we can and we will go further….
