BATU KAWAN, May 9 – Honda finally took home the first victory in the CP130 Class after 4 years participation in the Petronas AAM Malaysian Cub Prix after much toil and sweat. Rider, Norizman Ismail of Team Harian Metro SCK Honda Racing won with a lead more than 2 seconds ahead of the next competitor Boon Siew Honda Home Turf, Penang.
Norizman Ismail took the chequered flag after 15 laps of the demanding track riding here with just 14 minutes and 6.779 seconds surpassing Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah from Team Petronas Yamaha Raceline with a gap of 2.211seconds. Norizman’s team-mate, Md Affendi Rosli and Md Suhadi Ali Rahmat finishes in sixth and seventh placing respectively.
Not to be outshone, Honda added another feather to the cap being the first in Privateer Category by rider Abd Hafiz Abd Majid with 10 min and 17.785 sec result. This is the second time Adb Hafiz took the chequered flag in Privateer after Round 2 at Kluang.
This victory is particularly gratifying because it proves the performance and reliability of new Honda Wave110.
